Loonies for Lindor Crop a Success!

Finally found a moment to update the Blog on the results of the Fundraising Crop that we held last Saturday. Thanks to the amazing support of family, friends and local businesses, we were able to raise $3200 plus a previously donated $300 for The Farley Foundation and our local All Breed Rescue.
Thanks also for the supplies that were donated at the Crop.
I will continue to post images and recipes and updates from the donations in the coming weeks.
The venue was so roomy and much more convenient for my hard-working helpers who came early morning to set-up and who spent countless hours prior to the Crop working on everything from card making to title cutting to veggie chopping. I couldn't do this without you, you are all amazing friends and I'm very happy to have you on my "team".
Everything ran very smoothly, at least from my end and my mind is already turning towards #5.

Sneak Peak!

It's been all hands on deck for the last week, working away at all the little details of the Fundraising Crop for our Rescue Dogs and The Farley Foundation that is less then one week away. I'm lucky I have lots of willing helpers. Here's a couple sneak peaks at the raffle items that are boxed up and ready to go.
And this little beauty just got dropped off this morning....
We're going to need quite a few of these....
Thanks Liz for cutting these out and Keri for assembling them all. So adorable!
You'll get to see all the details in person on Saturday or watch the blog and I will be posting in the next little while.

Toffee Pecan Snickerdoodles

As you can see by the accompaniments, I made these Snickerdoodles awhile ago. While I like the tradtional plain cinnamon inspired doodles, these were a pleasant change. A nice soft, slightly sweeter and fancier cookie.

Toffee Pecan Snickerdoodles
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup toffee bits

To roll in :
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla, Stir in dry ingredients and then nuts and toffee.
Chill 1 hour.
Shape dough into balls and roll in sugar mixture. Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 350F.

Maya is 7

Long time, no post. Tis the season to have no free nights and yardwork and housework and work, work. Just like everyone else. Golf season is here too. So what's been happening?
I've been working on the Fundraiser like crazy, lots of details but there are some really good things going to happen and I'm really excited for the day. Can't show too many photos ahead of time, I like there to be a few surprises.

Maya turned 7 last week. The years are flying by. She got a new bed and a haircut for her big day. The bed she likes and she's coming around to the haircut. It's nice and short and much cooler for her but she's not that fond of getting bathed.

The new Look....
