February Swap card

 We are going strong, just like a New Year's resolution.

 

Keri used the cutest stamp and die set from Concord and 9th called Cup of Cheer. 

She always does such a good job with the interior of the card and even the envelope.

 

 

I used my favorite new Die set from Spellbinders called Bold Blooms. Even though, I have several flower die sets, this one is so delicate and detailed. I love it. 

 Simple yet versatile. Stay tuned for March.

June Swap Card

 We are almost caught up with our monthly cards. Summer is too nice a season to be indoors and lots of vacation and outings take precedence over crafting. I can't remember the name of the company, for sure, I think its Altenew. There are lots of options for the sentiment on the banner and I enjoyed getting my Copics out again.

Keri did this cute stand up card from a Stampin Up kit. Perfect timing for all the summer fun.

Stay tuned for the rest of the summer offerings... Likely in September. lol.

May Swap Card

 We are a little behind but we are sticking with the monthly swap. I borrowed this set from Keri even though I have a number of untouched stamp sets of my own to use. It was too cute... Cerealsly!

Keri made a lovely thinking of you type card, I'm not sure of the brand....

April Swap Card

 So far, so good. Keri and I met again this month and we were both really excited about our cards and we both used die sets.

I used the Spellbinder Pie Perfection set and yes, I had to get most of it! It's going to be fun playing with all the pie combinations and the tin foil pie plate is just too cute. I made a chocolate chip pie and styled my card after something I saw on the Net. I purchased 4 coordinating die sets. 

Keri made a sweet card combining the Lawn Fawn tea cup die and some cute Jolene Boutique bees. Sadly, I used all my bees up for a Loonies for Lindor themed fundraiser.

On to next month. Best get started before golf season starts.

February Swap Card

 Can I even still call it that? Keri and I finally got together again and swapped 2 cards, but I'm calling this one Feb even though its currently April. 

I've been wanting to use these adorable bunnies from Sunny Studio for a long time now.  I also used the inverted circle? die from Lawn Fawn for the first time. Felt good to haul out the supplies and finally make something.

Keri did the sweetest Easter themed cards as well, all in a variety of pastel colours. I chose yellow and I can't remember off hand what company it was. I'll have to ask her again.

Love the embossing on Kraft. This might be too sweet to give away this weekend.

January Swap card

 Wait for it! 

Yes, the monthly Swap card between Keri and myself is back. It was a little painful getting started again (at least for me) but I'm happy to have a goal and a purpose again to get creating.

Keri made this lovely card, lots of heat embossing (she does such a good job) using a Stamp Set from Stampin UP.

August Swap Cards

 Wow, it's been a hot minute since I've been on the Blog and the entire program has changed up. I guess I'll be learning another new system. Here it goes....

I've had these cards for awhile and never got around to posting. It's been super busy getting ready for my reno and living life. Haven't touched a craft since I did this card. Hopefully a little more time in the craft room once the summer activities are wrapped up.

I decided to get a start on my theme cards for the Fundraiser (which sadly is postponed until next Fall) I used the Lawn Fawn set. Can you guess the theme?

Nicole also used Lawn Fawn. She's our interactive girl, she likes the challenge this type of card presents. It's really cute..

Keri used a Stampin Up die set. Isn't it clever to do the sunflower in white?

There you have it. I'm so behind on the challenges but I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet.

July Swap Cards

Well it's been a hot minute since I last posted and its been crazy hot this summer. Not terribly conducive to sitting still (at least for me). Pathetically our guest participant had her card done and exchanged 26 days prior to mine. Whoops!

Anyway, it's always such a fun surprise to see what we are getting each month. I chose a Penny Black stamp that I was going to put in a garage sale because I had never used it. I only worked on it here and there a few minutes a day and it came together not too badly. I never do CAS cards so this was a good change of pace...

Keri used a new set from Stampin Up. Who doesn't love goats?

Nice to have a card that's a little more masculine. Isn't' it clever how she knotted the twine instead of tying a bow?

Nicole used a set from Simon Says Card kits from way back when. I think I gave away this bikini die and stamp set and know I'm regretting it..

I've got a few more blog posts ideas so maybe I'll step up my game. Stay tuned.

May Card Swap

It's been a hot minute since I posted. Lots of yardwork happening over here.
I added a card to my Covid Collection using this Lawn Fawn Set...

I loved the sentiment for this season of chaos and uncertainty...

Keri used a Stampin Up set and alcohol markers to create this stunning sunflower card...

And she always adds an extra touch to the inside..

Nicole used a Jennifer McGuire technique to create this beauty. Love the gold embossing...

The little dots in the background is just Copic marker. It matches so perfectly.
And there you have it. Another month in the books.

May Swap Card

My inspiration came from a similar card on the Internet. There is a stamp set and a coordinating die set..

April Swap Card

Hello from Week 5 of Quarantine. This month we had a special guest swapper and in keeping with the new regimen, we did a virtual swap.
Both Keri and I chose Lawn Fawn, its funny how that works out. We both followed examples from the Internet very closely. We don't claim to do original work all the time. But that's ok.
Here's my card..

Even with a plan to follow, there were so many steps in this card. Lots of ink colours and die cutting. But I love it.

This is such a cute set, I need to use that avacado.

This release from Lawn Fawn was just adorable. A lot of really cute expressions and those Mice! Keri is really loving the Distress Oxides and her blending brushes. Here's another one she did....

And Guest Swapper Nicole used a Sugar Pea set for her card.The little typewriter had lots of die cut pieces. I love the font for the sentiment inside the card....

March Swap Card

Whaaaat? I'm ahead of my regularly scheduled posting.  We decided to move our monthly card due date to the beginning of the month, rather then the end. It always seemed like we were behind. So our April card will now be due at the beginning of April rather then the end. Looks like we are going to have some time to make that happen with the current Pandemic that is going on in the World.

Keri had requested a Pet Sympathy card to have on hand so I obliged with this one using my favourite kraft and a lovely sentiment from Taylored Expressions...

Keri used her Splotch stamp and then heat embossed it for extra sparkle to make this card....

And some cute little butterflies from Michaels. So nice to see the fresh Springy colours. May the little things, bring you joy!

June Swap Card

How can I just be posting the June Swap card now? Well, I'll tell you how it goes, something like this.
Step 1 - Keri and I get together to swap cards (usually we're a bit late but not terrible)
Step 2 - I take the cards home and promptly lose them somewhere in a pile
Step 3 - Locate the Swap Card
Step 4 - Take a photo of the Swap cards
Step 5 - Transfer the photos to the computer
Step 6 - Try to remember the brands used and search for an image online
Step 7 - Do a Blog Post
So you see it is rather a lengthy process but without further ADO: the June Swap card....

I'll start with me. I like using the Pure Innocence stamp sets. They are reasonably priced and seem to fit a lot of themes. One can always use a birthday card so here's mine...

The little dress is paper pieced and there is some sparkly frosting happening. This is the set used. It is called Happy Cake Day from My Favourite Things.

Keri used a Dog set from Taylored Expressions which I may just have to borrow. I believe she used Lawn Fawn Spring Fling paper...

Keri colours her images with Prisma pencil crayons. So there you have it, another monthly card posted. Now I have 3 days to come up with a card for July.
