Lemon Cards

Everytime I host a Loonies for Lindor Fundraising Crop, I make a variety of cards as gifts for the participants who are not scrapbookers. It's really fun coming up with cards to fit the theme. This year I did about 10 different cards and I usually make 10 or so of each. I forgot to post them after the Event so here's a look at a few of them....

This one was so easy.. a great way to use up some really pretty patterned paper. I believe the sentiment is from Your Next Stamp...

I love this Flip card die.. another great way to use up patterned paper. The Happy Birthday sentiment was cut on the Silhouette...

I saw this idea on Pinterest.  It uses 2 different sets of Lawn Fawn dies. Perfect for our lemon theme...

Using the Silhouette

So one of my goals in my 15 in 15 was to use the Silhouette more. I know, you're probably saying; What goals?" since I havent given any updates lately and may have counted them up and realized that there isn't even 15 but that's ok. This personal mission has NO rules.

I think I've been doing pretty well with my number of blog posts, I've kept up on the monthly challenges at From the Heart Stamps and while I haven't read quite as much as I would like, I'm about halfway there.

One thing I've already accomplished is make 100 cards. I have been doing lots of card making lately for my various charitable groups and its been so much fun.  I got a little push from a friend of mine, to get together and try making a couple pop up cards. After a couple errors and a frantic search through the Internet for ideas on how to complete the folding, we made a couple of these....

They look pretty impressive so I'm glad we persevered and figured them out. It's been fun playing around with different colour combos.

My new toy!

My goal of using the Cricut last year once a month didn't go so well so after much debating I finally purchased one of these....

I was worried that I wouldn't use it. I have lots of Nestabilities and other dies and I'm not one for sitting at the computer trying to figure things out but I have used it more in the month since I bought it, then I think I used the Cricut in all the years I owned it.
Of course, my first purchase from the Silhouette store is this...

I think that's what sold me on the machine. This Lab has better conformation then Lindor. lol.
Then I fiddled around with another image...

Then my Mentor; Corrina, came over and we attacked unzipping files. It's not quite done and she did most of it, but since then she has been giving me a homework assignment every week to encourage me to keep going and learning how to use this awesome machine and I'm making progress.
