UFO's

I really need to get working on that Light Box goal. My photos are so over-exposed when the light is not good. I am so lucky to have a group of friends that get together twice a year at a gorgeous cottage to scrap the days away. We eat great food and have such a wonderful time together.

While I was packing, at the last minute I thought I would throw in some UFO's (unfinished projects). You know the cards that you coloured and never put together or were making multiples and miscounted. Well, I had quite a stack and needed to get them done or throw them out!

Believe it or not, this is the AFTER bin!

The good news is I was able to complete 58 cards, some new but mostly I just wrapped up some of the unfinished ones. Feels so good to get them DONE!

And while it's totally out of season, I had these pumpkins coloured and finally put them into cards.
Aren't they sweet?

Now, I have a large stack of cards to organize and maybe I'll even sit down and send out one or two.

Two for One Challenge

I am halfway through my goal of completing the Monthly Challenge at Delightful Inspiration. It's been fun keeping up and every month since I do, I get a free digi.
This month, I decided to combine the weekly sketch with the Monthly challenge and here's what I came up with...

This is the newest little critter from Delightful Inspiration and his name is Prickles.

I had a bit of trouble finding a sentiment to go with Hello, but I think Have a Wonderful Day works pretty well.

I like to follow the sketches pretty closely. I'm not much of a designer but I'm a pretty good copier.
Hoping to have lots of time for my challenges as the holidays arrive.

Delightful Inspiration May Stamp of the Month

I'm keeping the streak alive but its becoming harder each month as the preparations for the Crop escalate. So I'm really happy that I had a goal to play along every month for a year. If you do the challenge, you get next month's image mailed to you for FREE!  Here's my take on the May birdies...

Delightful Inspiration April Stamp of the Month

Well, I just barely made it. The Challenge closes in a few hours and I really want to reach my goal of doing every Monthly challenge at Delightful Inspiration because not only is it fun but I get a free digi everytime I participate.
This month we were back to the Pigwit, who is "almost" as cute as the Birdbrain and since I needed a birthday card ASAP for a pig lover in the family, here's what I came up with.

I popped him up and quickly added a sentiment in the inside of the card. Whaatt! no diecuts. Nope, clean and simple this time and I think it works!

Delightful Inspiration - Little Snowman

I decided to get back on track with the monthly challenges over at Delightful Inspiration. If you play along every month, you get the next month's image for free. One of my goals this year it to participate every month. So I purchased this adorable image...

I wanted to choose a non-tradional colour scheme, so even though my card is a little understated, I was happy with how it turned out.

I paper pieced his scarf by running it through the printer a second time and used the Martha Stewart snowflake corner and border punch and glammed up his hat using Glamour dust. AND, I even used one of the sentiments on the inside of the card.

I also noticed that Little Red Wagon has a Frosty theme this week, so I'm going to link up to that challenge as well. A great way to start meeting my challenge goals for the New Year.

Sick Chick

Happy New Year! Don't you love the Christmas holidays? Lots of time to get caught up (and cleaned up) and to enjoy leisurely mornings with delicious breakfasts like this...

I was on the run for most of the Break but I enjoyed a lot of good food and visiting with family and friends. I will be a little more housebound for the next little while because a certain furry friend has injured her leg.

I plan on working on cards and scrapping more if that is possible.

In the meantime, here's a card that I completed using my new favourite images, the Birdbrains from Delightful Inspiration. I like sending a cheery Get Well note when I know people are feeling under the weather. This guy is pretty cute and not too sombre.

I Heart Sketches

This week's sketch at Delightful Inspirations-From the Heart Stamps was a good one.

 

I used a Whipper Stamper stamp that I borrowed from my friend Keri and I love the colours and how it turned out. Not sure what the little birdie should be saying but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

I barely made it in under the wire. For some reason, I thought I had more time on this one and I forgot my Copics when I got together to craft this afternoon with a friend so I had to finish it in a bit of a rush.

It's amazing what you can get done when you are waiting for service people to show up. Instead of twiddling my thumbs, I decided to do some housework and complete my card for my monthly challenge at From the Heart (Delightful Inspiration) Stamps. Every month if  you play along you get the next month's image free. They also have really great card maps on a weekly basis. So here's the image from this month...

Delightful Inspiration - June Challenge

The free stamp of the month for June at Delightful Inspiration (From the Heart Stamps) was this charming set.

Here's the card that I made up with one of the images.

Pretty cute and it coloured up really quickly. I wasn't sure what sentiment to use so I'll add something later.  If you play along every month, you get the next month's stamp free. I'm barely keeping up with my challenges but this keeps me FOCUSED! and I'm actually getting stuff done.

Delightful Inspiration - From the Heart

I participate in a monthly challenge over at Delightful Inspiration and if you play along every month, you get a free stamp. May's Stamp of the Month was the "For You" mouse. I tried a few different colour combos and settled on this one which I think turned out great!
I have yet to add a sentiment (never know where to put them on the front) but I'll come up with something cuz the little rodent looks so cute handing over his/her flower.
