Since we just recently celebrated Canada Day, when I spotted the challenge at Paper Players, I knew I had to play along. Especially since they are offering such great prizes. The Challenge is to "celebrate". I had some maple leaf paper in my stash in the tradional red and white so it made it really easy to come up with an idea.
I used a sketch from My Favourite Things (MFTWSC 183)
Thanks to The Best Things in Life are Pink for the inspiration.
I put a smaller maple leaf on the inside of the card and I computer generated the word Canada since I didn't own any stamps of that sort. I'm excited to be linking up with a challenge. It's been awhile, I hope I remember how to do it.

What a lovely, bright card! I feel especially close to this card, having just come back to New Zealand after two weeks in Canada - we left on Canada Day. What a wonderful country you have! I like the stripy background as it accents the maple leaves so well. Thank you so much for joining in with us at The Paper Players for our 400th challenge celebration - now you've done it, we might see you in the gallery again!
What a wonderful idea to celebrate Canada Day for our 400th Challenge over at The Paper Players! The maple leaf DSP is perfect! Thanks for playing and good luck in the prize drawings!
What a great creation for Canada Day...I just love red and white no matter what the celebration is! Very fun and festive! Thanks so much for sharing this with us and helping us celebrate our 400th challenge!
